School spirit reached an all-time high this year.

Pep rally. Friday night lights. Homecoming court.

The build-up of pep started was introduced with Spirit Week and concluded with a night full dancing during the Homecoming dance!

The week commenced with a Tropical day, Hawaiian shirts, shades, and leis!

On Tuesday, it appeared as if students’ time traveled back to the 80s! Neon explosion!

Thursday featured Winnie the Pooh, Woody from Toy Story, and Minnie Mouse! Mustangs showed their school spirit by stepping out as their favorite characters.

Friday was class color day! Freshmen frolicked in white, Sophomores pranced in grey, Juniors sported black, and Seniors resembled the ancient Romans with their togas.

The Pep Rally wrapped up spirit week like a present on Christmas morning.  Striking performances from Meade’s Dance Company, and POMS which was followed by horsehead races, Dancing, and head bumping music.

Pregame hype started strong with students passing out Breast Cancer Awareness bracelets and other themed Meade merchandise.

Our homecoming game featured a strong student section that fiercely encouraged the team with chants and cheers that shook the bleachers.

The night ended with a smashing success as Meade Varsity took the win with an incredible lead.

An evening of dancing into the night filled the air. The legendary ups and downs of homecoming were reached in true Meade fashion with dance circles and loud music galore. Cliques and groups faded away for that one night to come together and have fun no matter what. Students of all kinds got to enjoy themselves. After a night under the stars, homecoming court was crowned and the week of spirit concluded.

An energy unparalleled was felt in the atmosphere that week as the Meade community faced new and exciting affairs together.
