Africa, the birthplace to some of the best cuisine that has ever touched my palate. Home of food so colorful and luxurious with key ingredients such as peppers, cassava, yams, plantains, beans, and etc. On November 14th Meade High had a brief glimpse into the extravagance of African Cuisine. Taste of Africa is an event that exhibits the finest African dishes around the whole continent. In addition to a rich feast, there are traditional African dances displayed, African Games, and Money raffles.
The event kicked off with African Countries being introduced, and explained for what they’re known for. The dishes served at the event include of Injera, an Ethiopian Flatbread, Authentic Nigerian jollof rice, white rice served with Nigerian Meat stew, Malta, a popular soft drink in Nigeria, and several others.
Dinner and a Show
During the feast, Traditional African dance routines were happily performed, with dancers sporting beautiful and colorful African natives and attire.
Games
Games that were played include of Ludo, Mancala, and other classic African games.
