As quarantine is creeping up to 7 months, Students are questioning whether they will ever resume back to physical education settings. COVID-19 has transformed the lives of many, making sure to leave its mark in every corner of the world. One area that COVID-19 had a significant impact on the education field.  The virus came out of surprise to the world, and initially Students, Teachers, and Staff thought we’ll be out of school for 2 weeks; That quickly turned into 7 months and possibly longer.

COVID-19 has revised the typical high school experience especially. Students fear that they won’t experience once in a lifetime events such as Homecoming, Prom, Graduation, Highschool Athletics, and more.

So, the question that’s being asked is, When will everything return to “normal”?

Well, the thing is that this is our new normal. Sanitizing everything, Wearing Masks, Socially Distancing, etc. COVID – 19 has altered our definition of normal. Schools and Staff are adapting to our new normal in numerous ways.

  • Implementing Virtual Learning
  • Virtual School events
  • Mailing essentials to students

Although schools have seemed to adapt to COVID – 19 in some form of way, it still doesn’t feel the same at all. Physical ( or in-person ) Learning has a sense of excitement that can never be achieved from virtual learning. Virtual learning has a very mundane, repeated feel. Attending psychical school just assures a new sort of adventure every day. Student life is about learning, socializing, and Exploring. Some of those things just can not be filtered into a Zoom video call session.

So, yes, COVID-19 has transformed student life in various ways, but implementing our new normal practices in our daily lifestyle can bring back that student life we know and love.
