What an amazing playoff game on Friday night! The Meade Varsity football team advanced to the next round of the playoffs after defeating the North County Knights in a rematch game 27-24. This was definitely a redemption game for the players after a tough loss on Senior Night against the same team they faced going into the first round of the playoffs. All of the Mustang fans that were at the stadium gave a huge level of support for the team, and they believed that they could win throughout the entire game. Now, our next opponent awaits on the road!
The Mustangs will be taking on the Broadneck Bruins at Broadneck High School for a second round playoff matchup. It all comes down to this, and yet another rematch game against Broadneck is around the corner. It’s gonna take a lot from the team if they’re gonna find a way to get an impressive win on the road at Broadneck. As a Mustang fan including myself, we wish the best of luck for the team, we believe that they’ll play great this coming Friday, and we hope that they’ll continue to sustain their success in the 2022 High School football season. But whatever happens in this game whether the Mustangs win or lose, you just live with how things go.
As long as the Varsity Football team competes, we’ll be proud of what results they achieve. The season isn’t over yet, but the players have to give everything that they got. They don’t quit and give up all season, and confidence is the key to winning this game against a tough Broadneck team that is looking forward to beating the Mustangs twice this season. So we’ll see what happens in this interesting second round playoff matchup between these two teams. At the end of the day,the final message is “go out there on the field and be at your best!” Go Mustangs!
