That’s what you call a superior championship caliber team! The Meade Mustangs Boys Varsity Basketball Team is currently the top team in the county with an undefeated record. They are currently 17-1 overall with implications to claim the #1 seed in the county. Right now, they have a 12 game winning streak going on right now trending towards the end of the regular season. Throughout this red hot winning streak, they have beaten “playoff contending teams” like South River, Glen Burnie, Northeast, and Arundel.

The only thing standing in their way is the remaining 4 games they have to play in the regular season. Senior Night is coming up on Friday night at home in our home court against our rival Old Mill. (aka: The Stable) After that, the last 3 games are all on the road at Broadneck which is gonna be a tough and intense game, South River and Chesapeake. The way that the Mustangs can get the home court advantage throughout the playoffs is to win out and continue to execute and play their style of basketball with Mustang Pride!

It’s been such a long and enjoyable season for Mustang Nation and I guarantee that the playoff games will be exciting to watch! Once again if this team continues to play at the level where they’re at right now, they will go far in the state playoffs. We all look forward to seeing this team play great in the playoffs and to see if they can finally break through and reach the State Championship for the first time since 2016! Let’s continue showing the support that we always show for the team moving forward and we all look forward to Senior Night on Friday Night against Old Mill. Let’s go Mustangs!
