Preparing for senior night

As we sit here today, the Meade Mustangs Varsity Football team is currently 5-3 heading towards the end of the regular season. After 2 tough losses to Arundel and Glen Burnie, the Mustangs bounced back with a win at Annapolis 35-20 and got themselves together going into Senior Night against Old Mill. This season was absolutely a turnaround year for the Mustangs. They’ve made alot of improvements and overcame alot of adversity. But this game at home against Old Mill will be the toughest challenge they will face all season. Old Mill comes into the game (7-1) and Meade comes in with a record of (5-3).

It may not sound likely that Meade will go out there and take down their county rival. But it is possible that they can put up a fight and stay competitive as the regular season concludes. Here are the keys to pulling off an upset. First, the Mustangs have to stay disciplined. Committing penalties and making costly mistakes can hurt the team’s morale and their chances of winning this game. Next, everyone has to play for each other and provide support as the game progresses. Another important key to victory is communication. Each and every one of them has to talk to one another and lead the way to create amazing plays that will help carry the team to victory. Finally, never back down and give up. No matter how high the stress and intensity levels are, the most important thing in the game is that they gotta put up a fight from beginning to end. They also must leave everything they have on the field even if things don’t go well.

Friday night should be a great game to watch, and we cannot wait to see our Seniors play their hearts out in their final home game. Lets go Mustangs!
