It’s been a crazy week for the Meade Mustangs Boys and Girls Varsity Basketball teams. Due to all of the snow days and school closures from last week, the games that they were supposed to be played got rescheduled and moved to future dates heading into late January and the beginning of February. But the Boys Varsity team was able to regain their confidence as they got back to back wins against Chesapeake on the road and at home against Annapolis! As for the Girls Varsity team, all hope is not lost yet. Despite their current record as of today which is 4-5, they still got alot of games left to go to make a late push to the playoffs.
Speaking of playoffs, the AFC Championship Game in Baltimore is coming up on Sunday afternoon at 3:00 pm EST! The matchup will feature the defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs coming to town to square off against the #1 seeded Baltimore Ravens. This is the matchup that alot of football fans are looking forward to watching this weekend. The Ravens look forward to returning to the Super Bowl for the first time since the 2012 season as they get ready and prepared to dethrone the champion from last year’s season. This will be a really tough matchup, especially when you’re facing off against one of the best teams in the NFL. But in order to be the best, you have to beat the best! Baltimore knows that they’ve worked hard all year to get to this moment. It is their time to shine when the stakes are high, and the level of anticipation is rising too. Lets go Ravens!
