The game yesterday for the Meade Varsity Boys Basketball team clearly did not go their way as they lost 78-66 on their home court to Broadneck and fall to 4-3 in Anne Arundel County league play. But there is still plenty of games left to go and the Mustangs are eligible for a playoff spot. The chances of getting a higher seed is unlikely. However if they can overcome adversity and give everything they got heading into early February, they will still be a dangerous team moving forward! It’s all about learning from their mistakes and playing more consistently in tight games against tough playoff contending teams like Arundel, South River, Northeast and even Severna Park. Their next game will be a home game tomorrow against Chesapeake Science Point (CPS) at 6:45 pm.
As for the Girls Varsity team, they also lost on their home court to Broadneck 56-21. Hopefully our basketball teams get back on track and return to their winning ways as the month of February has arrived! Lets go Mustangs!
In other news: The Washington Commanders hired former Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn to be their next head coach. The Seattle Seahawks hired former Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald to be their next head coach. John Angelos has agreed to sell the Baltimore Orioles to Cal Ripken Jr. and some other Baltimore natives to own the franchise.
