As we sit here today, the Meade Varsity Boys Basketball team is currently 13-4 overall after winning 3 out of their 4 games last week! This team was able to overcome adversity after suffering a tough loss to Broadneck at home on Wednesday of last week. As long as everyone has each other’s backs, we can fully believe that they can go on a run for a State Championship. It’s a long road to get to the State Championship, but the Mustangs are fully capable of being prepared for what stands in their way. There’s 2 weeks left to go in the regular season, and there’s also a possible chance for the Mustangs to earn a right to compete in the County Championship as long as they win out, and hope that they get some help from several different teams to climb the ladder in the standings! Lets go Mustangs!
In other news: Baseball season is just around the corner! Spring Training for MLB will begin with the Dodgers taking on the Padres on February 24th. The 2026 World Cup will be played in Mexico and several NFL stadiums in the United States! The Washington Commanders officially have a brand new coaching staff hiring Kliff Kingsbury as the offensive coordinator Joe Whitt Jr. as the defensive coordinator to serve alongside head coach Dan Quinn.
