Resilient Mustangs

After an 0-2 start to the season, the Meade Mustangs Boys Varsity Basketball team were left in a hole surrounded with questions as to how they put themselves in that position when the season first started. But since that lost in their home opener against AACS (Annapolis Area Christian School), they have gone 10-1 in their last eleven games to impressively get to 10-3 on the season, and 4th in the county overall. This team is so resilient, they got nothing to lose at all. Especially when it comes to winning a Regional Championship and a State Championship.

The players themselves know that they’ll overcome alot of adversities on and off the court, but at the same time get better each and every week. Additionally, the coaching staff believes that the team will get better no matter what tough competition stands in their way. Meade as of now has won 8 straight games and are 10-1 since the loss to South River. If they continue to play with confidence and resiliency, they have a legitimate shot to go for it all and win a championship. More importantly, the way the team is playing right now will draw more attention and interest in the fans to come out and support them in their games wherever they play.

Speaking of games, the Mustangs Boys Varsity Basketball team will take on Northeast tomorrow night at Meade @ 6:45 pm. That game will start right after the Girls Varsity Basketball team plays Northeast @ 5:00 pm at Meade. Mustang Nation, come on out and support our teams as they move on to the middle stages of the Winter Season. Go Mustangs!
